I have now come across several free ebooks of very good value or paid ebooks with free distribution rights that are filled with affiliate links or product links within. I now understand the smart strategy used here in order to make huge profits quite quickly.

First let’s look at it from you the guy that gets the free ebook from this website for instance. The ebook is filled with valuable info. It may be so good infact that other marketers could be selling it for $97 on clickbank but you are giving it away for free.

Mistake? No way…

Now from the perspective of the marketer who wrote the free ebook. The ebook specifies that you may freely distribute the ebook, resell it for 100% profit but you may not alter any of the content within. IE. the affiliate or product, service links within the ebook. So if the ebook creator was smart, he wrote the ebook in a way to incorporate links to either his own paid products, services or simply links via his affiliate link.

The trick for massive sales from the ebook links is the quality of the ebook itself. The ebook has to be good enough that people should feel its worth decent money. Which means the same PLR free mailing list content you get probably won’t cut it because its not unique.

If you are not an expert in the field you could hire a ghostwriter to right the ebook for you . It could be a 20 or 30 pages and does not have to cost a fortune. Even if you pay $400 to have the ebook written you could make thousands from affiliate sales the viral ebook would create. One sends it to one, then he sends it to another and so on….. Viral spread of the ebook very quickly. But it will only work if the ebook is hot ie. valuable info.

I was jogging on the beach today for the second time in my life and I kept remembering that as difficult as it was I had to continue because it would do me good. I realized that running your online business or any money making website requires a similar test of resistance.

What I’m talking about is that difficult moment that you reach when you want to quit because its hard. We all reach those moments. Some of us have experienced more of these tough challenges then others and those that have surpassed them are better equipped for success in my opinion. And when I say success I don’t just mean financially. Anything that is good in life happens with more certainty to those tough cookies among us.

It surprised me to still see on many websites that 80% or more of the failures of online entrepreneurs are due to the fact that people simply don’t take big action or sufficient action. They know what needs to be done and they know it will probably work but perhaps because of that small uncertainty, they fail to take action. Or maybe because they are just not tough enough to take the bull by the horns as they say.

I read a short report about how Dean Hunt (another online blog marketer) got started his online business and he said that he worked 16 hour days for almost 18 months to get to a good income. I though to myself, any doubts that I may had about making good money online can be abolished if I was just willing to do the same hard work as Dean Hunt. Another words, I am willing to bet almost anything that if I work 16 hour days for 18 months I too will make very good money online. Don’t you agree ? I think anyone can with that kind of commitment.

Copywriters charge on average $75 or more per 500 word article because they are excellent writers and bring sales. Period. It is to your benefit to develop your copywriting skills not only to save money when starting your business but also to survive in your business. Once in a while I find myself complaining about the actions of someone I am dealing with in my business or the idiot that made me late in traffic etc… and after reaching a rational calm state I realize that my success is not dependent on the actions or lack of actions of others around me. Sure, there are obstacles that make it more difficult to carry out your activities, such as that idiot at the restaurant or at the laundry mat etc… but this is normal. These people can throw obstacles in your path but I am sure you agree they do not appear all the time non stop. The formula to constantly beat these obstacles are 2 things. One is to realize that they are temporary and 2 that there is always light around the corner. Just like your luck always runs out at some point so does your bad luck.

I saw a statement about making money online a few weeks ago that said “you get out what you put in. Well, you probably heard that before but I mention this because the keyword there is “You”. Your business started with you and it can only end with you. Don’t blame it on your ex, your landlord, your hosting company or your competition. If on the other hand you’re to lazy to combat the obstacles then maybe you’re in the wrong profession. I have never felt more in control of my destiny since I started my online business ventures. This is quite a different feeling then when I was working for others living paycheck to paycheck.

To conclude, remind yourself that while others can delay or throw obstacles in your way, you are in control of where you end up.

You may have seen a pink warning in your adwords account that as of April 1 you are no longer allowed to display or use a domain url that is not your real  domain.  Many online marketers have been using this effectively to split test and get higher CTR or Click Through Rates. Essentially getting more clicks for the same money therefore more profit.  Unfortunately, most have been doing it by entering any keywords they seem fit in the domain even domains that don’t exist and then just redirecting you to their real other domain.  Well, as of April 1, 2008 you can no longer do this. If you want to keep doing this you’re going to have to use a real registered domain that is yours.

There are certain keywords in the domain that get clicked on much more then others so if you can figure that out, register the domain and find some adwords advertiser in the field you could make very decent coin registering and selling domains.

In my opinion this will definitely change the way domains are valued. Unless your domain is generic and short or 3 or 4 characters you won’t sell it for more then a few hundred dollars however if you find a domain keyword that gets good CTR it would easily be worth  $1000 or much more to the right google advertiser. Remember there are Adwords advertisers making well over 6 figures monthly so they won’t mind spending a few thousand for something that will up their profits.

I just finished reading a famous ebook about  blogging  and I wanted to comment about a strategy that is a lie. The ebook mentions that you could use software to build 400 blogs per day. When you reach at least 1000 blogs you wait for them to be indexed and since they are blogs this won’ t take long. Once the mass amount of blogs are indexed you can put a link of your main site on every one of these 1000 or more blogs you own.

Now, let me just say that I have thought of doing this about 8 years ago and even then I hightly doubt this would have worked let alone today.  The search engines are not that stupid. If they were, everyone would be doing this because I am sure you agree this is not such a genious concept.

The reason this would not work and the famous blogging ebook  fails to mention are the following:

1. Every one of those 1000 blogs would have to sit on a different class C IP and domain

2. Every one of those 1000 blogs would have to carry reasonably original content (at least 30%) in order for the one way links to be counted.

3. Every one of those 1000 blogs would need some backlinks eitherwise not much importance would be given to them.

So in the first point it means you need 1000 different hosts.  If you ask one host to give you say 50 ips where only the last 3 numbers change you might get away with 50 blogs pointing to one but 50 repeated 20 times I am sure will look suspicious. Especially since they are all pointing to the same website blog.

Point #2 is reasonable original content cannot just be created by switching a few words here and there in a piece of software. If you got a software for writing in bulk you can bet the big engines have got a better one for detecting it.

And finally point #3 probably the hardest of all to achieve. In msn the inbounds or backlinks maybe less important then google but not irrelevant. If you have a website in google that has no inbound links it will shortly be dropped from the index altogether. I guess they figure there are plenty of other sites that have inbounds amongst the billions that there is no need to clutter their hard drives with bottom of the barrel.

I happen to be on the newsletter list of Michael Cheney and if you don’t know who he is don’t worry neither do I. But reading his emails and visiting his website you realize he knows a thing or two about marketing. Today I followed the link in an email with subject “want to buy my business? ” or something along those lines. Upon reaching the video and sales page the video loads immediately. He tells me how he has created a product that he is willing to give to me 100% free in which I can sell for a minimum of $97 and keep 100% of the profits. The catch? I have to buy PLF 2.0 through his affiliate link.

Now PLF 2.0 which stands for Product Launch Formula is in pre-launch stage which means its not available yet. However, when it does become available due to significant hype should sell thousands of copies within a week. I don’t even know the price yet but suspect it will be close to $200 so Mr. Cheney as an affiliate should earn at least $100 for each copy.

I thought it was clever how he has invested time and money to create a product, and then give it away in an attempt to entice his affiliate sales. He in fact, may have invested $5000 to create the product. But the moment he has sold 50 copies all of that money has been compensated. I have heard these product launches reach thousands of sales within a week or 2 so I am sure Mr. Cheney alone will sell at least 100 copies through his affiliate link the first day or 2 and probably 1000 over several months. The more I read and learn I realize to make the big bucks you really need to think “spend some to make some”.

I recently heard of this new link building strategy and decided to investigate it further. 3 way linking is as follows: Site A links to Site B which links to Site C which links to Site A. This way site A is receiving a one way link from Site C and only site C. While this strategy is probably better then traditional reciprocal linking calling it one way linking is also not accurate. While you have site C linking to A, (you lets say) Site A still has to provide a link out to site B. So this means if you need say 1000 one way links to your site to rank high, you will need 1000 external links going out from that same page.

If you analyze the top ranked websites for competitive keywords on google you will notice that most have many more inbound links then outgoing links. In fact, if we take “make money online” without the quote  for instance, the top ranked website carlocab.com has over 800 inbound links to his main page. Can you imagine if he had 800 outbound links on the same page? He has little over 20. So before you get all hyped about what a great strategy this might be,  think again. The one 3 way linking network I found, does however mention a small niche as an example therefore, this form of linking may get you decent results for search terms with very little competition. Don’t be niave enough to think google does not know about all these strategies. They may at some point only give heavy value to inbounds with a very small percentage of external links, if they are not already doing this now.

Well this is going to be the shortest report on the internet. I hear many webmasters mentioning that its difficult for a new website to get crawled and indexed by google.

All I can see is I used no tools and no tricks and got one of my brand new websites indexed in 24 hours by google. The website is a one page wordpress blog with 97% photos totaling about 25 photos and thumbnails. My wordpress configuration has the default ping upon post to: http://rpc.pingomatic.com. I would say that is the only way google could have found the site. Perhaps adding technorati as the ping could have worked also. You are welcome to try. So there it is. That’s what I did to get a new site indexed in 24 hours.

Btw,  in case you’re thinking it was a coincidence and google just happened to be indexing that day for the entire month, the date the site went up was march 10 and it was in google march 11. As far as I know google indexes and updates sites at the end of the month. Unless they changed and it really was indexing time. I will launch more sites in a few days so will document this again with proof.
