Ebay/Paypal Making Money Suspension Precautions

Many people make money selling on ebay and receiving payments in their paypal account. I had several problems before so I wanted to offer those tips so you can all avoid them.

Paypal is more stringent then ebay however they both track, flag and block and or suspend users if they think the activity is unusual. You may be surprise at what they think is unusual activity.

I for example moved to brazil several years ago but my paypal account was still registered with a usa address. I accessed paypal from brazil requesting a widthdraw of funds and the next day my account was limited. I could not send nor widthdraw the funds until I sent them utility bill showing the address listed on the account. The problem is I was not living at that address for a long time so no more bills. To this day, my account is limited with $750 frozen in the account. You see paypal and ebay know by IP address what city,state and country you are loging in from. I understand my situation was slightly unusual because I did not access paypal for several months and then suddenly I login from brazil. A red flag for paypal.

Ebay is not quite as stringing since there is no money in there however, many people still sell things through ebay and receive payment via other methods. Therefore, ebay knows fraud can still be easily practiced just by having an ebay account. If you are registered with an address in the USA, go for a vacation in Costa Rica while your auctions are live, be careful logging in. It seems very strange that you need to worry about this after all, I am sure many ebay sellers would go on vacations while continue to sell either their digital products, affiliate or dropship products. Nevertheless, this cannot really be avoided. You can however be prepared to send them the documents necessary quickly if and when they do block your ebay account. So to conclude, if you access ebay and paypal accounts from a different country from where registered you are flagged. I have heard some people use anonymous proxy servers from the same country where they are registered. This way if you login, it appears that you just moved to another state or city not country.
