Google Loves Original Writing So Use It

I have not posted anything on this blog for a month until the article Youtube Traffic lie. Only 5 minutes after posting I decided to check google to see if my post is indexed yet and sure enough there  it was in google when typing : Youtube Traffic Lie imoney.  For some reason I can no longer see the time it was chached in google as before otherwise I would have screen captured it for you guys as proof.

Don`t confuse this with ranking on google. I still rank horribly but this is my own fault for not having enough quality backlinks yet.  The point is this.  Google loves originally written blogs and mine is all original since I do my own writing and none of the content is available on any other site.  The proof of this is that fact that I have not posted for over a month and the content gets indexed within 5 minutes on google. Obviously google thinks is important.

Now, if you can manage this with your site, the other thing to focus on is getting other websites to think you are important also.

The Youtube Traffic Lie

You may have heard of online marketers telling you and selling you books on how to get massive traffic to your website using youtube and other video sharing sites. Well, there certainly is massive traffic on youtube but that traffic getting to you is not as easy as you are lead to believe.

Here is some proof. Have a look at the channel of an online marketing expert michael cheney.

Pay attention to the views of his videos and when they were posted. At the time of this writing the most viewed video received a little over 7000 views in one week. The video has a catchy heading. Now out of those 7000 views in a week he may get 10% to visit his website so that is about 100 visits per day. Not bad. Since it is fairly targeted it could turn into as much as $100 per day.

Well this is all fine and dandy but have a look how many videos on this subject get 7000 views in a week. Very Very few. I put up a few videos on youtube which were much more informative then the sales pitch video above but pretty much useless since I only received a misarable 20 views per day and less then 2 site visits per day.

So, as with everything online, success is only for the few who know how to play the game. Which reminds me of a tip I heard today.

“Learn how to play Win - Win with people, and success is guaranteed.”

You still here? Get to work already….
